    Terms & Conditions

    Last updated: 9 June 2026

    These terms govern your use of burnoutrecoveryhelp.com and any digital products we sell (the “Service”). The Service is provided by Billy Smith Therapy, a sole trader based in Cornwall, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By using the Service or buying a product, you agree to these terms.

    1. The Service

    The Service includes a free clinician-built burnout assessment, blog content, and paid digital products such as the Burnout Coach app. The Service is informational and educational only and is not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, please contact your GP or a local helpline.

    2. Eligibility & accounts

    You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian’s consent, to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for any activity that takes place under your email or account.

    3. Acceptable use

    You must not:

    • use the Service unlawfully or to commit fraud, spam, or harassment;
    • infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
    • probe, scan, scrape or otherwise interfere with the security or operation of the Service, or introduce malware;
    • resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical limits of any paid product.

    4. Intellectual property

    All software, content, copy, branding and clinical materials in the Service are owned by Billy Smith Therapy and protected by intellectual property laws. When you buy a paid product we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for personal, non-commercial use.

    5. Payments & refunds

    Payments are processed by Stripe. For purchases made from supported countries, Stripe acts as merchant of record and handles tax calculation, collection, invoicing, and remittance alongside payment processing; in other regions Stripe acts as the payment processor while Billy Smith Therapy remains the seller of record. Buyer-side terms with Stripe apply in addition to these terms. Our own refund policy is described on the Refund Policy page.

    6. Service availability & warranties

    We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

    7. Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

    8. Suspension & termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or commit repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time.

    9. Changes

    We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always applies to your continued use of the Service.

    10. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
